The Department of Pharmacy provides integrated, cost-effective pharmaceutical services to Alliance Hospital. The services are patient focused and include medication delivery, therapeutic recommendations, and promotion of optimal drug therapy.

Inpatient pharmacy services to Alliance are provided by clinical pharmacists 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Inpatient distribution is done primarily through automated devices (Pyxis) on all nursing units. The clinical pharmacist must have reviewed the order before the nurse can obtain the dose for administration.

Clinical services provided by the Department include renal drug monitoring, drug interaction monitoring, patient care rounding, medication teaching, therapeutic drug monitoring, drug order review, drug information support for care providers and a focus on an integrated, unit-based model for care delivery.
